Senior Design Project - 3D Concrete Printer
  • This projects aim was to create complex structures in place, without any shortcuts, by using a removable support material. Herein lies the challenge of this project; to determine a method to print complex and unique concrete 3D structures using a support material
     
  • In order to select a mix for both the concrete and plaster, the formula had to achieve an ideal point between six characteristics. These are extrudability, flowability, buildability, compressive strength, workability and dry time.
